Jean Paul Gaultier is no stranger to making a statement on the catwalk – not just with his clothes, but with his choice of models, too. From a bare breasted Madonna, to Beth Ditto holding a pair of champagne flutes, the so called enfant terrible of fashion likes nothing more than to send a surprise guest down the runway.
Not wanting to disappoint his fans and FROWers at this year's couture show in Paris, the designer looked to Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst to be his special guest model. The bearded beauty took to the catwalk dressed as a sultry Spanish widow, complete with veil and elbow-length gloves, while JPG showed his appreciation of the 25-year-old Austrian by getting down on one knee and kissing the singer's hand.
Conchita, who also goes by the name Tom Neuwith, later swapped into a silver-y beaded creation to attend a party with Jean-Paul. Has fashion just found its newest star? We certainly hope we get to see more of Ms Wurst.
